Good bye damaged hair.

There are several things that a person can do when they have dry damaged hair, some opt to chop it all off and then watch it grow back (for some of us this could take a while). However, if the damage was caused by your bad hair habits in the first place  then it might be wise for you to try and fix those habits so that your hair can flourish once again. The remedy does not have to be expensive. So instead of  copping your gorgeous locks off sure to leave your hair healthy.

You will need the following ingredients:

½ cup honey
1 ½  cups water
½ cup organic coconut milk
1 Tbsp olive oil

  1. Blend the ingredients thoroughly in a food processor and heat in a thick base pot/ pan until warm. Do not overheat.
  2. Apply to hair from root to tip and then cover your hair with a plastic cap. Let it steam for an hour or more if you desire.
# can be use on all hair types

The power of Orange( DIY body scrub)

The power of orange....  Well oranges that is. Oranges are a good source of Vitamin C which is known to improve the skin texture and color, they can also make our skin's surface firm.

They help restoring collagen in our bodies which is responsible for skin firming and preventing early aging of skin. Which is why you wont regret including a dose of the good old orange on your daily to eat list and save some for a beauty treatment...

Instead of throwing away the peels, dry them and make a relaxing body scrub.

What you'll need for the body scrub:

1 cup dried orange peels( grounded)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of sea salt
1/4 cup of  olive oil

Blend all the ingredients together, and then rub over damp skin in the bath or shower.

NB: Do not dry the orange peels in direct sunlight. Dry for 2-3 days.

French Braid Bun

The bun has become the most popular hairdo for this season. Here's an easy way to add a twist to your donut bun...

Introducing the French Braid Bun

What you'll need:

  • a brush
  • elastic bands
  • bobby pins
  • bun sock ( the one you used for the hair donut post)

Step 1

Gently brushing your hair to remove any knots.

Step 2

Divide your hair by making a part from your left ear across the crown of your head, to the right ear. Secure the top part of your hair with a clip and this should make braiding the lower half much easier.

Step 3

Flip your head upside down, and then gently brush the hair again. Start the French braid at the nape of your neck, and braid all the way to the crown of your head. Then secure the hair with an elastic band, and leave the ponytail free.

Step 4

Remove the clip from the top part of your hair. Tie the hair and the ponytail left from the braid together in a high ponytail.

Step 5

Now make a bun. For this you can use a bun roll. Slide it over your ponytail, arrange your hair around it, and then gently tuck it under the roll, and secure with bobby pins.

You'll love it!!
